Downsizing from a large suburban home, these stylish empty nesters wanted their new condo to reflect this next chapter - comfortable, polished, and a little bit playful. The bones were solid, but dated finishes, oversized furniture from their previous home, and a lack of cohesion left the open-plan space feeling disjointed and tired.
We refreshed nearly every room - from the living and dining areas to the den, guest spaces, and powder room - tying it all together with a warm, sophisticated palette of earthy neutrals, wood tones, and brass accents. The fireplace wall was reimagined with a marble mosaic tiled surround and a scaled-down TV, while media components were tucked neatly into a nearby sideboard. In the den, custom cabinetry and a sleeper sofa create a cozy flex space for guests and their children on break from college. Playful hits of color and whimsy were introduced in the semi-private spaces through deeper tones, layered textures, and bold patterns and colors that deliver personality and comfort. Don’t miss the bold custom headboards in the guest room and playful mix of pillows in the den that add delight at every turn. Throughout the condo, carefully chosen lighting acts as the jewelry that elevates the whole, sparking a sense of ease and warmth while honoring the clean, transitional style that now feels perfectly at home in Grant Park.
